This week is NAIDOC Week, and ADB is joining the nation in celebrating and recognising the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians. In marking this week, we’d like to celebrate our recent collaboration with our client Stanmore Resources and the Barada Barna Aboriginal Corporation on the Indigenous Trainee Program at South Walker Creek.
This initiative has been successfully working towards increasing employment opportunities and support for the local Barada Barna community. One person whose career this program has kickstarted is Kaisame. He was one of the first of these trainees to start, and he is now working full-time as an ADB Driller at South Walker Creek.
At Action Drill & Blast, we are committed to partnering with our clients, traditional owners and local groups to ensure we deliver shared value within the communities in which we operate. Developing these relationships not only ensures our business remains sustainable for the long term but can also mean making a positive impact on the lives around us.
